    Scandinavia; most settled in the southeast.

    Thursday
    Some showers in Portugal and northwest Spain, heavy rain arrives in the
    far northwest after dark; fine elsewhere in Iberia. Heavy, thundery
    rain in the Balearics and Corsica and Sardinia, tending to break over
    the Balearics later in the day. Rain in central Italy but fair to the
    south and north. Heavy rain also in Sicily. Mostly cloudy in the
    Balkans with some drizzly rain along coasts to the north. Greece and
    Türkiye will be dry with good spells of sunshine.
    Windy with gales and rain in northern France, fair through central and
    southern areas. The Low Countries, Switzerland, and Germany will be
    fair with sunny spells, though morning will be wet in north and east
    Germany. Rain sweeps eastward across Poland with strong westerly winds.
    Scattered showers for Hungary and Slovakia, clearer with sun in Czechia
    after morning rain. Mixed cloud and sun in Ukraine, Romania, and
    Bulgaria.
    Morning rain in Denmark clears for mostly sunny conditions with strong
    westerly winds. This rain covers southern Sweden most of the day and
    moves to the Baltic States and southern Finland. Mostly dry northern
    Scandinavia though local showery rain and snow is possible. Trending
    brighter in southern areas of Norway and Sweden.

    Friday
    Heavy rain in Portugal and western Spain, drier but cloudy east. Fine
    over the Balearics, heavy showers over Corsica and Sardinia. Heavy
    showers too over southern Italy, lighter showers northward and largely
    dry in the far north. Mostly dry in the Balkans with bright spells,
    best of sun in Croatia. Showers forming in southwest Greece, dry
    elsewhere through cloud around. Dry too in Türkiye with mixed cloud and
    sun.
    France is wet in the northwest, mostly dry elsewhere through some cloud
    around. Spells of rain into the Low Countries as well with some bright
    spells. Largely dry further east, only local showers over the high
    Alps. Germany and Poland will be quite cloudy, good sunny breaks around
    Austria and Hungary, more widely sunny towards the Black Sea.
    Wind and cloud for Denmark and southern parts of Norway and Sweden.
    Southwest Norway will be wet, some rainy spells reaching Denmark later.
    Dry in Sweden, though some early rain will briefly fall in the
    northeast, this rain over much of Finland for several midday hours.
