• Dismissal cost 20 billion dollars

Trump fired the director of the US National Statistics Office in 2025. He disagreed with the agency's calculations and demanded an adjustment to the figures. This was refused, and she was shown the door.

It has now been calculated that her dismissal cost the American economy about 20 billion dollars.

The reason is very simple. The business community no longer trusts the figures published by the government. Therefore, they have become much more cautious about investing.

The calculation has therefore now been made that her dismissal has already cost the American economy 20 billion.

That is separate from the economic damage Trump caused with his import tariffs and the feud he started with all of the US's partners.
