The US is not going to renew the trade deal with Mexico and Canada. It was inevitable. Canada, in particular, had already prepared for it, and that country will have little appetite for tedious negotiations with those fools Trump is sending to the talks. Trump is pushing for deals that last a year at most. Mexico and Canada are going to look elsewhere in the world. Trump continues to believe that he holds a strong trump card. Therefore, he is deliberately pushing for a break with both countries.
