The Old Testament starts from the beginning of time and covers thousands and thousands of years of the Jewish people... This is THICK

The New Testament covers Jesus time on earth, 33 years. As a result the book is thinner... You can make the font small and that book might fit in your pocket.

Christian Bibles usually contain both, Like the King James version, you can have a new testament, a small book, and if you have a stand alone old testament... That is actually the Jewish "Bible"... they don't call it that.

Christians use BOTH because there is context and prophecy in the old testament about Jesus, and more, but this is the main reason.

The Catholic Church has a user friendly book called The Sunday Missal, Missal is the important word... If you open your Missal up on the corresponding day that you are in church it will give you a play by play for that day, readings and whatnot.

The Missal is really nothing more than the New Testament broken down in ~1/3 or so... If you went to Church for 3 years you would have read the New Testament completely.

If you go to a Catholic Church ask for a Missal and ask someone for help, 2 minutes later you'll be good to go.

Amanda turns 16 this summer and its her last "Child" Passport where both parents have to sign. So, we'll go down to the Consulate and get her Passport renewed and she'll get good until she's 26.


I have to go to a Consulate for Amanda, what would stop you from mailing your application to that "Special" office to get Trump in your Passport.

You did things the correct way. Or else your church is really good at explaining things. I will admit this: I don't get church. I get that we pray together and I love that, but I understand about 8% of the stuff that you understand, and thanks for explaining all these things. You would be a kick ass Faith Formation teacher.

Oh yea, please pass the word to that awesome young man. Things might have changed a bit since the early 80s but Trump is the most generous president I've ever seen so I'm confident that his administration has something special for the kids.

My daughter also turns 16 this summer. It's kinda sad but it's also great to watch them grow.
