Zuck said that "The Biden administration made me do it" but yea right.
He colluded with them; he wasn't victimized by them.

    Oh, without a doubt.

He probably thinks that by donating that he's holding a door open.

Keep your friends close. But keep your enemies closer.

That's smart of them (half-smart.) They'll still take your money.
Facebook don't even want my money.

We don't generate enough revenue for them. Between the Brave browser (with a built-in ad blocker) and me blocking every ad that pops up, I doubt I generate enough revenue for Facebook to care one way or another.

Amazon, on the other hand, lost a good customer and probably more when I told everyone I knew about what they did to me.

On top of that, one of the bit needs today is some thing to replace the "gatekeeper" function of publishers.

It used to be that publishers functioned as a sort of gatekeeper. They would only publish books that (they think) would probably sell well (i.e. they were at least pretty good). Today, anyone can publish. So we have tons of ebooks and, as the saying goes, 90% are crap. But we can't find the 10%. Amazon had the opportunity to be the way we tell what's crap and what's not, but if they won't let people leave bad reviews, that won't work.

Don't worry: I'll fill in for you on non-woke reviews on Amazon. Maybe
my air filters seemed a little like they were made by DEI hires, or something ;)

I buy so little on Amazon today, it would make no difference.

It's like we talked about before: institutions being infiltrated by the left. Something I'm realizing about this Amazon review situation is that books are probably one of the primary (and most sacred) propaganda tools that the left has. So when you became a threat to their narrative, you became a threat to their livelihood. They wouldn't have minded if you gave a bad review on a pair of socks.

Side-story: I often get offers to "Leave a review" after purchasing things online. I ultimately ended up buying my air filters recently directly from the manufacturer and I saved about $30. Then they sent a follow-up email saying "Please leave a review."

So my review was like this:

"Excellent filters, excellent service, and excellent President Trump."

I'm still waiting to see if they approve my review ;)

There certainly is something to that.

But the Left doesn't read books (other than propaganda) and everyone else only reads good books - which the Left can't write. So to use books as propaganda only works to indoctrinate the already indoctrinated.

Speaking of books, I read a lot. Most of my books are older books now (Think of stuff from Project Gutenberg). But every so often I get a newer one in my queue. So far, the newer books are batting 0. I delete it soon after I start it. They just aren't very good.

Life is too short to read bad books.

I'm not much of a book reader but I agree. Reviews on books could save people a lot of time. I'd hate to reach page 100 just to find out that I'm reading a woke book.

But I don't want to pay $30 for a Woke book.

I am a gun owner and was interested in reading about how the AR-15
came to be. So I got a book called "The American Gun, the story of
    the AR-15".

Good thing I picked it up at the library instead of reading the
glowing reviews on Amazon (although there were some real reviews
rated at 1 star, most of them were glowing).

Within reading the prologue, I could tell this book was written by
people who want to ban guns. The first part follows how Eugene
Stoner came up with the weapon. The last 2/3rds are devoted to
hysterical liberals who want to ban the bad things. One of the 1
star reviews notes that "the writing is so slanted, they were
suprised it didn't slide off the table when they set it down."

If I would have went by the reviews and purchased this because I
wanted to know more about the AR-15, it would have been a waste of
money due to the liberal slant of the writers.

    Have a great day!

You should check out the books by John R. Lott. Those were really good.

And "Unintended Consequences" by John Ross. It's a long book, but riviting.

Good thing that the reviewers didn't use the term "woke nonesense" or you wouldn't have read those reviews at all.

This why Amazon had the opportunity, and threw it away, to be a good place to find good books.
