• IL governor

From Aaron Thomas@1:342/200 to All on Mon Aug 11 00:17:19 2025
The Illinois governor had some fascinating answers to Kristen Welker's questions on "Meet the Press."

    1) "I'm a billionaire."

I didn't know that about him. So what's a billionaire doing in the governor's office? Is he solving problems left and right just like Trump does in the Oval Office? (Not that I'm aware of.)

    2) "We've got to have a free public education available to every kid in this country."

Why is he trying to appeal to illegal immigrants? Why would any Democrat governor want to appeal to illegal immigrants?

And something Welker said was interesting too, for the first time ever: "Despite President Trump winning 44% of the statewide vote in 2024, Republicans hold only three of Illinois' 17 districts."

The governor didn't offer an intelligent response to that question, but he
used the old "don't make any sense at all" technique:

"We held public hearings, legislative hearings. People attended them. They spoke out. There was a map that was put out. There were actually changes made to the map and a map was passed, and it was done at the end of the census, the decennial census, so that's how it's done in this country."

(Or was that "evade, distract, and cloudify?")

No. He's a billionaire because he's in politics - just like Bernie Sanders, Crazy Nancy, pretty much every congress-critter.

Why is he trying to appeal to illegal immigrants? Why would any
Democrat governor want to appeal to illegal immigrants?

Because those are the only ones who will vote for him now.

And something Welker said was interesting too, for the first time ever: "Despite President Trump winning 44% of the statewide vote in 2024, Republicans hold only three of Illinois' 17 districts."

Because of gerrymandering. And now the Dems are mad because the Republicans want to do what they did.

(Or was that "evade, distract, and cloudify?")

    Ya, pretty much.

... You can't do that. It's been digitally cursed.

I wouldn't normally be supportive of it, but maybe this will wake people up to the idea that the census count is not an intelligent way to control congress.

    That's actually in the Constitution.

The number of senators is 2 per state.
But the number of representatives is doled out based on population.

Similar rules are set for each state and their congress.

But the Elitists game every system. So we have to be on constant alertness.

... Worth seeing? Yes, but not worth going to see.

It's time for an amendment. The forefathers never expected that we'd end up importing millions of criminals into the country just to inflate the count.

The other thing wrong with it is how it forces people to complete the census forms. You know this but they ask questions about skin color, ethnicity, and gender. What good can they possibly do with the answers to those questions? At best, it helps Democrats figure out how pander more efficiently.

They never expected the evil groups to work together. They expected them to only work separately and conflict with each other.

Think rival gangs in a city. Each gang battles the others and keeps each down.
But if 2-3 start working together, that's a problem for law enforcement.

Ya, I wondered at the usefulness of some of those questions.

But that's what you get when the Dems are in charge of the census.

HAHAHA... Some time ago I obtained a securities license in the US, Series 7, among other classifications.

I once did a course on the laws of security trading so that I could sell securities in all 50 States and I was in AWE with how people used securities
    to break laws.

Every time I read something I was amazed at how they thought some of these schemes up... I knew if it was a law someone tried something and congress and or regulators had to fix things.

Now days everything new that gets presented to us has to go through a "is this Democrats trying to control us?" filter. Everything is a suspect. Piece of paper on my front porch? Democrats. A new study suggests something? Democrats. New changes to school policy? Democrats.

Bruce Schneier did a whole book on this called "Liars and Outliers".

He basically showed that no matter the society, there would always be a class of people who would try to "game" the rules for their own personal gain.

I also remember my OSHA training when I worked at GM. I really never any any idea of how to mass murder my co-workers, but that OSHA training really gave some good ways.
