  • OpenXP 5.0.56 released

    Greetings All!

    OpenXP 5.0.56 has been released and is available for download from the following URLs .....

    Also available shortly on the POINTSOFT FDN, file area = OPENXP

    OpenXP is a fully integrated FidoNet Point system, email client and
    newsgroup client for the Windows/Linux console.


    OpenXP5.0.56-win.zip - Win32 version.

    openxp-5.0.56-1.x86_64-lnx.zip - Linux 64-Bit version.


    Pascal source code packages are also available for download.

    :: IMPORTANT, PLEASE READ ::
    The way in which OpenXP handles packet passwords has changed.
    Packet passwords(if required) MUST now be explicitely defined
    in "Edit -> Servers -> Edit -> Robots -> Packet PW", even if
    your packet password is the same as your session password. If
    your BossNode does not use packet passwords, the "Packet PW"
    field should be left empty.

    WOW! Then there is hope for me.

    BTW.. are those primarily from nntp feeds?

    Mine are primarily FTN-based message feeds. And, I am finding
    that the thread-tree system is having trouble linking them; the
    scan just seems to get stuck and never finishes.
