    Hello, Nigel!

Wednesday February 19 2025 00:55, from Nigel Reed -> All:

Well, it looks like I'm the new NC for Net 124 in R19.

Congrats! Things hardly ever f*** up around here (c) Total Recall.

First off, I don't actively monitor this echo. I look in from time to
time to see what Statler and Waldorf are complaining about :) If
there's an issue with my segment, you're welcome to email, netmail, or whatever to contact me. I'm not hard to find.

Another "hack" is to put your name in CC - your tosser should place it in the carbon copy area. Well, that depends on your tosser; I don't know much about SBBSecho software.

Second, I don't want any of this "oh, this fuckin' sysop don't know
what the fuck he's doing and don't know shit" kinda bs.

Knowing the basics of nodelist flags is a must for any Fidonet sysop.

Quite frankly, I don't want this job but I also don't want to change
the node number I've had for 6+ years.

Oops... you're not replying to anything specific here, so I lack context. Did the nodelist police ask you to change your node number?

    Best Regards, Nil

The "nodelist police" have no authority on anything, other than being a pair of effeminate dutch twats.

Thanks, that was some time ago.

If someone addresses an echomail directly to me, Synchronet will let me know about it. If it's a general whine then I won't.

Did the nodelist police ask you to change your node number?

    No, why would they?

That doesn't sound right either. ;-)

Anyway "we" didn't come up with that name. I did a bit of searching and the first mention I could find was:

244/1120 doesn't exist in the nodelist!

So now we've come full circle. Instead of Spelling Police and Grammar
Police, we now have Nodelist Police.

Thus, we have "Climate Change Science" - which isn't capable of
    explaining anything.
