    4.08 is a beta version that addresses some of the issues in 4.07, such as incompatibility with OS/2 and dosemu. It also has some issues of its own, like not always clearing the screen when it should. I personally recommend staying with 4.07 unless your environment precludes that (OS/2 or dosemu.)

    Thanks, I only have the one issue with the first caller after nightly maintenance so I am going to stay with 4.07 on my bbs. I will load 4.08b privately and see how it performs. Have a great day Andrew.

    4.08b did fix my problem. I had not pointed my SCFG at the new 408b LORD directory. It is working great. The clue was when LORD starts up it was still showing my 4.07 and now that I have the paths right it shows 4.08B and there are no problems. Thank you all for the help. I ended up using the file lord408bupd.zip from digital distortion bbs and it works great. My registration from 4.07 worked fine in 4.08b.

    I have noticed that since upgrading to LORD 4.07 that at random my callers are exited out of LORD upon (E)ntering the game. When they re enter
    the game they are told they have already been on for the day. Is
    there an untrapped error somewhere in the batch file? It is almost
    always the first caller for the game that day, but it can, not as
    often though, be other callers upon entering the game. It plays fine otherwise. Is there a known correction for this. 4.07 is our
    favorite version here on my BBS.
