I thought about using Claude to make a clone of Barren Realms Elite.
Almost a sure success. At least among those of use who are left. :)
Started on it

It would be cross-platform and maybe not just have BBS door capabilities, but games could be played over the Internet instead of only through a BBS. Does anyone think there would be interest in this? What would be a good language to do this in? Go?
What about good 'ole C? :)
I asked LLM to recommend a language for this type of game and 'go' seemed to be at or near the top of the list.
Although I would have liked a language that would compile and run on DOS. (btw, do you happen to know of a rough
percentage of existing boards that run under DOS?) I felt that a BRE clone wouldn't need to the processing power that C provides. ;) You asked a good question though, Alan.
I don't program at all so I couldn't even guess, I just go with what
the developers gives us.
