    Andrew,

The nominations period is closed; voting begins on 21 February 2026 at 20:00 UTC.

As there is only one candidate, will you require a fully fledged vote? Or can we suffice with an FTSC-member (or yourself) putting forward a motion to appoint the one candidate? If someone seconds and no-one objects (as it would be done in real life) that's the end of the election?

    Just a proposal...

The rules as currently published do not allow this. With only one candidate, it shouldn't take the RCs long to consider and cast their ballots.

    Just a proposal...

One that must be rejected for this cycle, since the election is already in progress. We can possibly consider something like this in the future.

Why would I not be glad if I were a fish? If I were a fish, I would know nothing about the FTSC. Or about almost anything that you and I know about the world. I would know so little that I might think that I knew everything there is to know. Something that might make me very happy...

Perhaps. If I were a fish however, I would know nothing about your revelations, so they would not bother me at all and I'd just happily swim around.
