The hamdata.com website was back up today...the first time in almost
2 weeks. It has a quick list of the latest issued US and Canadian ham
    radio callsigns.

That one claims "Hamdata - The most accurate amateur radio callsign server on the web." ..but it did not have the Canadian one that I know that have been around for years. I guess this database relies on personal submissions only.

Now.. is there a way to send a message to that person? :/

Doesn't seem to be via that method other than snail mail.

If it were me, I'd LOVE to get something in the MAIL from someone
that found me from a contact like that. :-)

With the Postal Service now taking a MINIMUM of 5 days to deliver
First Class Mail...never mind some countries overseas won't accept
mail (QSL cards, etc.), I just eQSL now. But, contesting was never
my cup of tea, as it were.

I have never contested and, as of now, don't care for it. I'm just making
a general comment about getting MAIL in general! When I was a kid I had
a couple of pen pals, and I used to enjoy getting fan newsletters or 'fanzines' in the mail. :-) Was a simpler time. LOL

Whaaat? Some countries are not accepting QSL cards? Aren't they just like postcards? I thought people could send postcards from all around the world, still. What countries are not accepting?
