    Hey Ron!

Still unknowingly. This is probably the majority of the cases you've been /hearing/ about.

But if they didn't take the bad drug illegally in the first place, they wouldn't have taken the fentanyl.

It still doesn't make it right. In fact, it probably falls under 'premeditated murder'.

The Narrative that I hear seems to be along the lines of "I went to get my perscription filled and it had fentanyl in it" or "my kid bought some candy and
it had fentanyl in it." Not actual stories, but the reporting seems to be implying this.

I don't think I've ever heard much, if anything, close to this.

I don't think most people care if a heroin addict dies of fentanyl poisoning.
They were going to die from the heroin anyway.

More than likely not until it hits closer to home.

    Regards,
    Nick

My confusion here is over the concern about fentanyl.

Ex: Take someone who is an alcaholic but has little to no income. So when he gets money, he buys the cheapest booze he can get. He gets some laced with too much anti-freeze and dies.

I don't condider that a problem. He was dying anyway. If he had plenty of money to get good booze, he still would have died.

It still doesn't make it right. In fact, it probably falls under 'premeditated murder'.

I'm not applying a "right vs. wrong". I'm saying that someone who participates in a risky habit has to accept that risk. That fentanyl increases those risks does not make it a "crisis".

They were going to die from the heroin anyway.

No matter who it is, if someone plays on a busy road and gets creamed by a truck, he got what he earned. He put himself in harms way with a conscious act.

... New religion? I haven't used up the old one, yet!
